The retailer accepts multiple payment types at checkout, both in-store and online. These include standard credit and debit cards, cash, checks, and various financing arrangements. Each payment method comes with its own process, timeline, and considerations. For example, some payment options may process immediately, while others might take several business days to complete.

Raymour & Flanigan also partners with third-party financing companies to offer promotional financing programs. These programs often feature special interest rates or deferred payment options for customers who meet certain requirements. The availability and terms of these programs can vary based on your purchase amount and creditworthiness, so it's important to understand how they work before committing to a purchase.

Many customers find that learning about all available payment options before shopping helps them make more informed decisions. You can review payment methods on the Raymour & Flanigan website, call their customer service line at 1-800-RAYMOUR (1-800-729-6687), or visit a local store to speak with a sales associate. Store associates can explain each option in detail and help you understand which might suit your needs.

Takeaway: Raymour & Flanigan offers multiple ways to pay for furniture purchases. Taking time to understand each option before you shop allows you to choose the method that best fits your financial situation and preferences.

Credit and Debit Card Payments

Credit and debit cards remain the most common payment methods for furniture purchases at Raymour & Flanigan. When you use a credit or debit card, the payment processes immediately or within one to two business days, depending on your financial institution. Both major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) are accepted at all Raymour & Flanigan locations and on their website.

Using a credit card for a large furniture purchase offers certain protections. Credit card companies often provide fraud protection and may dispute charges if there are problems with your order. Additionally, many credit cards offer rewards programs that allow you to earn points, miles, or cash back on purchases. For example, if you use a card that offers 2% cash back on all purchases, a $5,000 furniture order would earn you $100 in rewards.

Debit card payments work differently than credit cards. When you pay with a debit card, the funds are withdrawn directly from your bank account. Debit cards don't build credit history and don't offer the same fraud protections as credit cards in all cases. However, they can be useful if you prefer to spend only the money you have available and want to avoid carrying a credit card balance.

If you're purchasing furniture online, card payments are processed securely through encrypted checkout pages. Raymour & Flanigan uses standard SSL encryption technology to protect your payment information. When paying in-store, you can swipe, insert, or tap your card depending on the payment method your card supports.

One consideration with card payments is your credit card's credit limit. Large furniture purchases might use a significant portion of your available credit. If you plan to make other purchases soon or want to maintain a certain credit utilization ratio, you might explore other payment options.

Takeaway: Credit and debit cards offer immediate payment processing and various protections or benefits depending on the card type. Credit cards may be particularly valuable for large purchases because they typically offer fraud protection and reward points.

Raymour & Flanigan Credit Card and Financing Options

Raymour & Flanigan offers its own credit card, which functions as both a payment method and a tool for accessing special financing offers. The store credit card can be used for purchases at Raymour & Flanigan locations and online. Cardholders often receive promotional financing offers such as special interest rates or deferred payment periods on qualifying purchases. These promotions vary throughout the year and may include options like "12 months special financing" or "24 months interest-free" on purchases above certain amounts.

The store credit card application process differs from applying for third-party credit cards. You can apply at any Raymour & Flanigan store or online through their website. The application typically takes just a few minutes, and you may receive a decision within minutes or hours. If you're approved, you can sometimes use the card immediately for your purchase, though this depends on how the card is issued.

Beyond the store card, Raymour & Flanigan partners with financing companies like Synchrony Financial to offer additional financing programs. These third-party programs often provide options for customers who want to spread payments over time without using a credit card. Common programs include options to pay in fixed monthly installments over 12, 24, 36, or 48 months. Some programs feature promotional periods with zero percent interest if the balance is paid in full by the end of the promotion period.

When considering any financing option, review the terms carefully. If a promotional period ends and the balance isn't paid off, interest may be charged retroactively or applied to the remaining balance at a higher rate. For example, a 24-month zero percent interest offer might include an annual percentage rate (APR) of 19.99% if the balance isn't paid in full after 24 months. This means if you owe $3,000 at the end of the promotional period, you could owe approximately $597 in interest annually if you only make minimum payments.

Financing programs typically require a minimum purchase amount, which varies by promotion. A promotion might require a minimum $1,500 purchase, while another requires $2,000. Raymour & Flanigan displays current promotional offers in stores and on their website.

Takeaway: Raymour & Flanigan's store credit card and third-party financing options can help spread furniture costs over time. Understanding the terms, including any promotional interest rates and what happens after promotions end, is essential before choosing a financing plan.

Cash and Check Payment Methods

Cash remains a straightforward payment option at Raymour & Flanigan. When you pay with cash in-store, your transaction completes immediately, and you receive a receipt. There are no monthly payments to track, no interest charges, and no credit inquiries. For customers who prefer to avoid debt or want the simplicity of a single payment, cash offers an uncomplicated approach.

Paying with cash for large furniture purchases requires planning and consideration. If you're spending several thousand dollars on a sectional sofa and dining set, carrying or managing that amount of cash involves practical challenges. You'll need to arrange transportation of the money securely and handle the physical exchange during your purchase. Most Raymour & Flanigan locations are equipped to process large cash transactions, but it's wise to call ahead if you're planning to make a significant cash purchase, as the store may want to prepare for it.

Checks offer an alternative to cash. Raymour & Flanigan accepts personal checks at most locations, though policies may vary by store. When you write a check, the store holds it and deposits it into their account, where it clears through your bank. This process typically takes three to five business days. You should only write a check if you know funds are available in your account at the time of purchase and will remain available when the check clears.

One advantage of paying by check is that it creates a written record of your transaction. Your canceled check serves as proof of payment. However, checks also carry risks. If you write a check without sufficient funds (called writing a "hot check"), your bank may charge you overdraft fees, and the store may pursue collection action or decline the payment.

For online purchases, Raymour & Flanigan doesn't typically accept cash or checks. Online transactions require a credit card, debit card, or financing program. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, you'll need to visit a physical store location or arrange a phone order with customer service.

Takeaway: Cash and checks work as payment methods, particularly for in-store purchases. Cash offers immediate, simple transactions, while checks create documentation but take longer to process. Neither option is typically available for online orders.
